The museum is currently undergoing a complete renovation and is not open to the public. That doesnt mean you cant experience it exhibits, however. The Museum of Science and Industry has designated a separate space for The Peoples Museums most popular spaces until the new and improved structure is up and running. The new facility should be ready to welcome guests no later than early 2010.
