Experience the Beauty of St. Nicholass Church
Prague is swiftly become a top destination for history buffs and art lovers. The reason is obvious: The capital city of the Czech Republic is home to countless ancient churches, shrines, museums and castles, all of which are filled with priceless works of art and sculpture.
St. Nicholass Church, rated by some guidebooks as the top must-see attraction in Prague, is a prime example. The church, built between 1704 and 1756, features a towering dome, a frescoe by Johann Kracker that covers more than 1,795 square yards and numerous statues, including a well-known depiction of St. Cyril stabbing the devil with his pastoral staff.
The churchs baroque organ, with its 2,500 pipes, is historic, too. The one and only Mozart played it in 1787. When Mozart died four years later, the organ was played at his funeral mass.
There are lots of options when choosing from the hotels in prague city centre. Best to get yourself one in the centre of the city so you can enjoy the sights. You can then check what to do in Prague on trip advisor
